A couple days ago I posted a photo of my grandparents that I was surprised to find hidden behind another photo in a picture frame. It appeared to be from the late 1930s, and I speculated that it might have been taken on their honeymoon. In that post, I suggested several possible locations. Since then, I have done more research, and posted it on a genealogy page where several members were able to provide further information. As a result, I now know where the photo was taken! This is on the boardwalk at Coney Island!
I’ll have to see if my mother knows if her parents spent their honeymoon there or visited on another occasion in that time period. I also have an edited, colorized version of that original photo to share, with some interesting effects added.
