Much of my genealogical research so far has focused on my father’s side of the family, but I have been lately spending more time on my mother’s family. When I visited her last week, she let me take home a lot of old photographs to scan. I’ve only just gotten started, but here is one of my favorites.
This photograph was taken in 1946. My mother, Rosemary, is the small child with the mischievous grin. She would have been 8 years old here. Her parents, my grandparents, Ralph and Norma, are standing behind her, with her new baby sister Carol.
