It’s a Gas, Gas, Gas

The gas company has several trucks in the street in front of my house and the neighbors’ houses. They say there was a report of a gas smell, though I couldn’t smell anything. This is the second time in the past month. So these poor guys are out there at night in the cold, jackhammering holes into the pavement, in an effort to fix whatever’s wrong. They assure me it’s perfectly safe to be in the house.

Unfortunately, one of the trucks is blocking my driveway, so we can’t get out. If we asked them to, the workers would probably move it for it, at least long enough for us to get the car out. But I don’t want to interrupt their work. So we’re postponing our original idea of takeout Ethiopian food for dinner, and will do that another day.
