A few days ago we set up a motion-activated camera to take photos of the wildlife in our backyard. It’s trained on the bird library, but the viewing area is wide enough so that we can catch images of some of the yard behind it, and we were also hoping to see what other animals are paying us a call. We’ve seen foxes and raccoons in the past, and we’ve have heard a variety of sometimes unidentified animals at night; we wondering how frequent those visitations really are. As it turns out, they’re pretty much daily; this little fox showed up the first night we set the camera out. So far we’re not impressed with the photo quality and might want to invest in a higher-end camera. But it’s fun to see who’s sharing our space.
