We just had our free covid-19 tests at the city’s testing site outside Cora Kelly Elementary. It’s well-organized, without much of a line. I had read that getting tested feels like having a swab inserted through your nose in order to pull your brain out through your nostril.
But the type of test available from the city today was not painful!
I am so glad Alexandria decided to offer a testing event. Tests are just not widely available in this area. We waited until the end of the day, to make sure we weren’t taking tests from people with symptoms or who belong to more vulnerable populations, but when there was an hour left and still plenty of tests, we decided to get it done.
There’s still time, if you want to be tested. You don’t have to have symptoms or a prescription, and insurance is not necessary. Testing continues until 6.
